I’m a little late on my annual blog post this year, must have been one heck of a NYE party or something! Let’s go with something, since NYE was pretty low key as usual. Brenda and I like to avoid the crowds and crazy drivers and stick close to home during holidays, especially during the New Year celebrations.
We didn’t have a lot going on last year with the production business; partially because it was a slow year and partially because we had to spend a large portion of our time focused on the family furniture business. Eventually, we had to make the tough decision to close the furniture store after thirteen years in business. 🙁 That is another reason my annual blog post is late, as we’ve been dealing with the final stages of closing up shop since early January.
I did build out a new website for the Garden Ridge Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association (GRCPAAA), so feel free to check it out. Brenda and I completed the GRCPA training that took place from February to April last year, and became eligible to join the Alumni Association as regular members. It’s a great organization that works to promote relations between our community and the Garden Ridge Police force. I volunteered to take over maintenance of their website and bring it up to date, and that continues to be an ongoing endeavor for me.
Beyond those few things and the ongoing maintenance involved with keeping things running around the ranch, there hasn’t been a lot of time left to do anything else. Well, besides continuing to support local musicians by attending live events around town, which continues to be one of our favorite things to do.
Up next is to get started on the project of turning the garage into an indoor laundry room/space for our animals (Our dogs, Bandit and Otis and our cat, Scratch aka Achmed), so we can finally get them out of the house! Hopefully I can get this finished before next year’s blog!
As always, if you are in need of any website work, IT consulting, video production, photography or graphic design, I’m ready and willing to work on your project, so please reach out to me and let’s talk about what you need!
Warmest regards,
